|
The Jazz Trajectory Orchestra is the latest iteration of 77th Army Band’s legacy ensemble. Big Band Jazz has been a big part of military music since World War II, and this new ensemble seeks to continue this fine tradition while endeavoring to introduce new sounds and styles to today’s audiences. The Jazz Trajectory Orchestra will feature many fine vocalist and instrumental soloists while presenting a high energy program of Swing, Jazz, Latin, Pop, Rock, and Funk.
The Jazz Trajectory Orchestra was formed by leader and arranger SSG Eric Burger, recently transferred to Fort Sill after 3 tours in Germany. He has performed with Frank Sinatra, Ella Fitzgerald, Louis Bellson, Pearl Bailey, Lou Rawls, Ray Charles, AJ Croce, The Blues Brothers, Temptations and many other Big Bands. He has also been a featured soloist at many international jazz festivals, including The North Sea Jazz Festival, Montreux Jazz Festival, Reno International Jazz Festival, and Klipedia Jazz Festival in Lithuania.
