Lawton-Fort Sill Art Council

The Lawton-Fort Sill Art Council is a non-profit organization which is dedicated to promoting visual arts in the Lawton-Fort Sill community.  The council was founded in 1955 by Leslie Powell and Mary McNayr. Membership is open to anyone who desires to participate.

The organization provides a medium in which the public can view various forms of local art. Members are welcome to use studio space in the The Art Center and encouraged to exhibit artwork in various LFSAC shows throughout the year.

The Art Center, 1701 Ferris, is open for informal art related activities every Wednesday and Saturday at 10:00 AM.   Our phone number at the art council is 580-591-0454.

Our Summer Art Show at Great Plains Museum, a group show, is coming up in June, 2011. This is for members only, so artists who want to exhibit should sign up now for membership. Members are guaranteed a place for their work in the show.

Visit the Art Council web page, and its Facebook page, "Lawton Fort Sill Arts Council" for more information about the Art Council
